Cut a segment of the universe into walkable turfs of the size you pick. Voters without lat/lng are skipped. Books are named with your prefix (e.g. “GOTV East 001”). Re-cutting replaces canvass books only — sign & delivery books are left alone.

What canvassers reported at the doors — dispositions and notes, updated as they submit. Filter by book or disposition.

Walkbook survey questions

Questions volunteers ask at the door — single-choice or free text. They appear in the walkbook's Talked form.

Walkbook scripts

Talking points volunteers read at the door. Create one, stage it for later, or assign it to specific walkbooks — same as survey questions. Shown at the top of the walkbook.

Voter rides

Voters who need a ride to vote (captured at the door). Add polling locations, match voters to their nearest one, then build a ride book per location for drivers to claim.

Work items — created here or auto-generated from AI-escalated voter replies. Assign to a teammate and close when done.

Upload your own lists — a purchased file, a partner list, a donor export — map each one's columns to standard fields, then filter it. Every list is separate and kept apart from your L2 voter file.

Messaging

Text or email a segment. Email via SES, SMS via SNS. Reachable = has contact info, not suppressed, not opted out. Merge fields: {first_name} {last_name}.

Inbox

Inbound replies (SMS/email) and form submissions. STOP/opt-out is handled automatically; other messages are AI-triaged and flagged for a human when needed.

Donations

From Anedot/WinRed/ActBlue webhooks or manual entry. Tier + cumulative total + FEC itemization flags are computed automatically.

Yard signs — voter requests

Small signs a voter requested for their own yard (from the door or the signup). Each is tied to a voter and delivered to their address. For roadside signs at intersections/lots, use Sign installs.

Sign installs — intersections, medians & lots

Large roadside signs at public spots (not tied to a voter). Place a site by address or map pin, then build install / inspection / removal books. For a voter's own yard sign, use Yard signs.

People who signed up (public form), were added here, or said "would volunteer" at the door. Pick one when generating a book's link in the Field card.

Team — account owner only

Add console users for your campaign and set their role. New users get an email to set their own password. Owner can manage the team; staff can't.

Automation & AI escalation

When a voter replies, the AI classifies it and follows these rules — create a task, auto-reply, and route to the right person. Merge these links into auto-replies with {{website}} {{volunteer}} {{volunteerTraining}} {{pollingLocation}} {{rideRequest}}.

Signup form branding — account owner only

Match the public volunteer signup form to the candidate's website. Set at onboarding, editable anytime.

Email sender

The FROM address for all campaign emails (walk links, ride/registration/volunteer messages). It must be a verified sender in AWS SES, or emails won't send. Ask your vendor to verify your address/domain.
